About Me
Self Portrait in Watercolor
In a nutshell, I am a character animator / motion graphics animator / video editor / Professor/ artist / hobbyist.
Born in southeastern MA, I relocated to western New York in 2011. Always interested in traditional art growing up, I took an interest in animation before college and specialized in 3D character animation in my BFA and MFA. I was initially hired at Fisher-Price as a 3D character animation but over the years I have learned many new skills on the job and become a generalist of sorts for whatever project is presented to me! Over the last few years I've directed/edited live action web demos, video ads, and interviews, edited and created motion graphics for internal videos, social media videos, and other various projects (please check out the Full Length Links page).
Teaching is also important to me- I’ve worked as an adjunct professor at Villa Maria College for the past years teaching motion design, animation and animation history classes. I also recently began teaching 3D and 2D animation classes at Canisius University as well.
Along with digital art, I feel it is very important to get away from computer/phone screens and create physical art to keep creative energies from getting stale! I take advantage whenever I can to attend local life drawing and portrait drawing sessions and encourage my friends and students to do the same!
